What is one of your favorite quotes?
“A wise woman wishes to be no one’s enemy; a wise woman refuses to be anyone’s victim.” – Maya Angelou

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Telepathic powers, like Emma Frost. Communicating telepathically instead of typing would free up a lot of time!

Are you involved in any volunteer or charity activities?
I am a regular contributor to the Franklin Community Center food pantry, and have participated in their Saratoga Holiday Assistance program for the last four years. To date I have “adopted” nine children and sponsored their holiday wish lists! I am heavily involved in coordinating charity 5K walks and runs to benefit local causes such as the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia, which I participated in both as a walker and corporate donor.

Fun Facts About Dan

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
I would have to say that I would like to have the ability to teleport anywhere. This would give me the chance to go to so many more places as well as meet a lot more of my friends worldwide.

Do you have any special skills or weird talents?
I am proficient in playing the trombone. I played in many groups throughout high school and early college, and was ranked among the best in New York state during my high school senior year! I haven’t played lately, and sometimes get an itch to look around for where I can get back into that groove.

What is your favorite place in the world?
It feels weird answering with what I am about to do so with as I haven’t actually been there as of this typing, but I would have to answer Japan. My reasoning for answering with somewhere I haven’t been to is because many aspects of the country have had an influence on my life. I’ve always enjoyed their entertainment industry which has contributed a good amount into my life, giving me the drive to attain the skills that I have today in regards to server administration and running websites. I’ve enjoyed studying their culture as well as learning the language though sadly did not stick with that over time.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Flying. It’s super convenient, and it’s completely environment-friendly!

Event Planner

Eliza is a Chicago-transplant living in Brooklyn, NY and oversees all of Fandom Services’ event planning. She began doing small events for the lolita community in 2008 while in college at the University of Illinois at Chicago, like tea parties and weekend getaways to historical B+B’s, but is now taking on much more logistically complicated events like the Silver Millennium Masquerade Ball. When she’s not dealing with vendors or designing table decorations, Eliza spends most of her time either writing graphic novels that her wife illustrates, doing web design, and plotting new ways of stealing pure hearts.

Fun Facts About Eliza

What is your favorite type of music?
It’s a toss up between 80’s synth pop and movie soundtracks. I listen to a ton of soundtracks because lyrics interfere with my train of thought, and they’re really great for background while writing. My favorite composers are Giorgio Moroder, Ennio Morricone, and John Williams (because everything sounds like Harry Potter, and nothing hurts). I will eternally mourn Bowie.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Probability control. It’s basically omnipotence.

What is your alignment?
Team Chaotic Neutral.
